For the third year in a row, Andrew Hine (age 12) is challenging himself to run five 5K events in 2017. In 2015, Andrew became a member of a team of campers and staff of North Woods, Pleasant Valley and Sandy Island Camps who took the challenge to run to raise money for children who would otherwise not be able to afford overnight camp. Because of this experience, in the fall of 2016, Andrew ended up joining his middle school cross country team. He quickly became a star 6th grade runner and his team went on to win the Massachusetts State Championships. Andrew has attended North Woods Camp on beautiful Lake Winnipesaukee for the last four summers and will return again this summer.
Here is a note from Andrew directly:
"I am really excited to go to camp this year, but some kids wish they could go to camp. I am helping those kids go to camp so they can try new things, make more friends, and have fun doing it. My goal is to get $2000 dollars to give a kid the privilege to experience all the feelings camp brings to you, from the moment you arrive, to the fun, after dinner games to the great food. I hope that when those kids step foot in their cabin, they feel at home. So it would be great if you donated to help those kids in need go to camp."
Please consider donating to Andrew's fundraising efforts and help send a child to camp who otherwise wouldn't be able to fly across the sky on a zipline, roast marshmallows under the stars or waterski across the expansive lake.
Thank you for your tax-deductible donation and your amazing support!
