THERE’S NEVER BEEN A BETTER TIME TO BUILD A BETTER US
Building a stronger community and a better us is a cause that is important to me. That’s why I am proud to volunteer and fundraise for the YMCA.
You know the challenges that we face in our community. People of all ages and backgrounds are struggling to reach their full potential. More and more children face seemingly insurmountable learning gaps. Families find it difficult to spend quality time together. Playing outside has become a rarity. And instead of seeing the income gap shrink, it seems all we do is watch it grow.
But where society falls short, the Y – and you and I can step in. Together we can make a difference in the lives of thousands of young people throughout Greater Boston who will turn to the Y for encouragement and support. Everything the Y does is in service of making us – as individuals and a community – better.
Please consider making a tax-deductible donation to the Y today in support of my efforts to strengthen community.
100% of every dollar donated to the YMCA’s annual campaign stays local. Your kind gift will build a better us by ensuring that the Y’s doors are open to all.
Together we can achieve so much more. Every gift makes a difference. Everyone has a role to play. Please join me and give today.
The Y. For a better you. For a better community. For a better us.™
My Unique Story:
YMCA Camp changed my life.
I found YMCA Camp when I was in my early 20's and over two decades later, I am still here. For the first time since high school, I felt engaged, passionate and like I was making a difference.
At Camp I could put my gifts to use to help others. I was an art teacher. It was crazy hard work, and I loved every minute of it. At the YMCA of Greater Boston Overnight Camps we impact the lives of children, families and are a large employer of young people. For may teens, we are their first real job.
I take this role in the development of our campers and staff very seriously. It is an honor to influence the development of children and families in healthy, socially responsible ways.
I think ALL people should be able to enjoy the benefits of the work of the Y and especially of Overnight Camp.
YOU CAN help make a difference of lives of people in your community. Many of the campers that come to us (this year our goal is to support over 200 campers!) need assistance to attend camp. These children and families are your neighbors and friends.
If you believe in helping children, your neighbors, your community, please consider supporting sending a child to Camp. This spring I am focusing on supporting young girls attending Pleasant Valley Camp.
We have partnered with a few amazing organizations this year, finding some AMAZING young women that could really benefit from an Overnight Camp experience.
Please help us say YES to sending these girls to camp.
