This year, Andrew Hine (age 10) is challenging himself to run five 5K events in 2015, thus the name 5 - 5K - 2015. He is a member of a team of campers, staff and friends of North Woods, Pleasant Valley and Sandy Island Camps who are all doing this fantastic challenge together for one purpose: to raise money to send underpriviledged kids to camp.

Andrew has attended North Woods Camp on beautiful Lake Winnipesaukee for the last two summers and will go again this summer with his little brother Austin who is super excited to learn what all the fuss is about. Andrew will tell you that what he likes best about camp is archery, ultimate frisbee, campouts, the brownies and the awesome after dinner all-camp games like Predator vs. Prey. But for parents, what we see after two weeks at camp is a newfound independence, confidence, and a little smile implying that we'll never know the many secrets and traditions of North Woods Camp. Let's not forget he comes home with a bunch of new, special friendships - kids and counselors he has played cards with in his bunk, eaten with at the Great Hall and explored with after the kayak trip. That's brotherhood.

Please consider donating to Andrew's fundraising efforts and help send a child to camp who otherwise wouldn't be able to fly across the sky on a zipline, roast marshmallows under the stars or canoe across the expansive lake.

Thank you for your support. It means the world.
